Chobe National Park is covers 11,700kmē and consists of four different ecosystems, namely the Linyanti Marsh, the Savuti Marsh area, and the
Serondela area, also known as the Chobe riverfront. The park is located in the top north-eastern section of Botswana, just south-west of Kisane and
not far from Victoria Falls.
The Chobe River running through the Serondela area provides water and grazing areas for many large game including buffalo and elephant. To the west lies the The Savuti Marsh, which is a seasonal lake that dries up in the winter but is fed by the Savuti Channel during the rainy
season in summer. The Savuti produces large grazing areas that attract large herds of antelope that feed of the extensive grassland. The Linyanti Marsh lies to the north of the Savuti Marsh. this area is fed by the Linyanti River and the Kwando River, which separates it from the
Mamili National Park across the river in Namibia. The diverse ecosystems of woodlands, lagoons, and savannah support a wide range of wildlife
including hippo, crocodile, lion, antelope, as well as wild dogs and leopards.
